The Municipality of Haskovo is situated in the hilly planes of South-Eastern Bulgaria on the crossroad between Europe, the Near and Middle East. Its territory -740 sq. km includes Haskovo and 35 villages with total population of about 117 000 people (according to the permanent address regiastration). 

The favorable geographic location and climate of the Municipality are an excellent prerequisite for the development of the international trade and cultural exchange. Four international transport roads pass through the town, including the fastest and direct road connecting Europe and the Near East. The excellent bus and railway connections through the Haskovo Municipality to the entrance and exit border check-points of Bulgaria facilitate the successful trade with Greece and Turkey.
